LLRF Ship Impact Crash Barrier - Devonport

SWA were employed by Devonport Royal Dockyard to carry out a Value Engineering (V.E.) study for alternative schemes for the protection of the proposed Low Level Refuelling Facility (LLRF) from accidental ship impacts. As a result of this successful V.E. study, the contract for the detailed design of the chosen impact barrier scheme was also awarded to SWA. This package of work also included the assessment of extreme events such as seismic and hydrodynamic events.
