Bradwell Nuclear Power Station - BNFL Magnox Generation

SWA were employed by Magnox Generation to carry out a structural inspection and assessment of all pre-cast beam ends supporting the annex floors of the Reactor Buildings 1 & 2.

Remedial works involved the design of the steelwork support brackets and props to the beam ends in order to provide a competent alternative load path and extensive structural assessment of the reactor structures to demonstrate fitness for purpose and subsequent return to power.
